Crack meeting

"There's a human girl over there," Variastrasz murmured, the magic carrying his words directly to Kalika's ears as they soared over the enormous lake in the middle of  the dwarven lands. It was a handy trick, especially in battle.

Kalika Ironheart glanced to the side and indeed, there was a tiny human female in very impractical, outlandish clothes, flying on...a staff? "Mage," she snarled, her blood heating with battle-lust. "Take her out."

Reluctantly, although that in no way impaired his responses, the red dragon tilted his wings and side-slipped close enough to the girl that he could spit a stream of fire at her. Hopefully, she would lose concentration and plummet. Kalika would not want to stick around to ensure the diminutive mage had perished, thus affording the child some slim chance at survival.

The girl turned her head, saw an enormous dragon with a green-skinned warrior-woman on its back, and screamed. However, she did not tumble from her staff. Instead, she held out some sort of painted talisman and a fierce thunderstorm boiled up out of it to surround her. Varialstrasz slipped back away, rising to a greater height in order to avoid the bolts lighting up the dark clouds.

"Shaman," grunted Kalika. "I didn't know humans had them. Leave her be; we have an appointment to keep."

Although humans did not, in fact, have whatever mythical powers orcish shamans had once controlled, Varialstrasz did not bother correcting the tempermental orc who held his slave -chain. Her people still held the Lifebinder captive, of course, but that wasn't the source of his obedience. Kalika had claimed him to spite a warrior she had some prior grudge against, and treated him as an indentured ally rather than a slave or a beast. If any of his brood had a chance at winning their freedom, it was him. So instead of saying anything, the red dragon kept flying towards Blackrock Mountain, where Kalika fully intended on slaughtering every warlock Rend Blackhand had at his disposal.
